Michael Vick Co-Defendants Plead Guilty

Michael Vick’s world is seemingly falling apart. One of his co-defendants have linked Vick to the killing of at least 8 dogs in his role in a dog fighting ring. The other has implicated Vick to bankrolling gambling on dogfights. Vick may face a minimum of one year in prison. Above all of this, his NFL career may be in Jeopardy. Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank said of Vick, “It’s just very sad, It’s sad that those allegations exist and now they are confirmed by others. It’s sad that Michael has put himself into that kind of situation. It’s his responsibility for putting himself into that situation.”
Vick has also been accused of lying to NFL commisioner Roger Goodell when Michael was first asked about the situation. Goodell has already banned Vick from training camp this year, but as the case develops and more facts are uncovered the punishment may turn much more severe. Michael vick certainly has put himself in a terrible situation, and whether he can still have a successful NFL career in unknown.
