With a 38-35 victory over the New York Giants, the New England Patriots completed their perfect 16 wins no losses season. Tom Brady completed 32 of 42 passes, having overall 356 yards and 2 touchdowns. Brady touched base with Randy Moss in the fourth quarter to set the season record for most completed touchdown passes.

With this victory, the Patriots become the first team in NFL history since the 1972 Miami Dolphins to have an undefeated season. Spanning the last two seasons, the Pats have now had 19 consecutive regular season victories.

Two days prior to the big game, Brady commented, “I think we all realize what a win would mean, but a win’s always big, being 16-0 would be a very special achievement, one that no other team has ever achieved and we’re finally at that point.”
