Morneau Wins Home Run Derby, But Hamilton Shines

Josh Hamilton won the hearts of New York fans on Monday night, crushing 28 first round home runs in the 2008 MLB Home run Derby. One of Hamilton’s 28 homers landed 518 feet from home plate, the third longest home run every hit int he history of the competition (The farthest coming from Sammy Sosa in 2002). Three of the Triple Crown candidate’s shots traveled over 500 feet.
