While Manning does own one Super Bowl title, Brady has three and is arguably the best best quarterback of his generation. Manning isn't even in the top five of NFL throwers! So, where does he belong? AP unanimously names Tom Brady NFL Most Valuable Player

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady was the first ever unanimous choice for AP NFL MVP. He last won the MVP award in 2007, that time receiving 49 of the 50 votes with one voter voting for Brett Favre. It was a no-brainer that Brady would win the award after putting up 3900 passing yards, throwing 36 touchdowns versus a minisclue four interceptions, and a stellar 111.0 QB Rating. He led the Patriots to a 14-2 record, but were quickly ousted by the New York Jets in the AFC divisional round. While the MVP award is sweet, it's still nothing compared to what Brady and the Patriots work for - a Super Bowl trophy.

Bill Belichick wins AP Coach of the Year Award

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick won the AP Coach of the Year award for guiding his team to a league-best 14-2 record during the 2010 NFL season. However much success was had in the regular season, the Patriots failed to advance in the postseason, losing their first playoff game at home to the New York Jets. Regardless, Belichick is considered the standard for NFL head coaches and for valid reasons. This is the third time he's won the award, winning previously in 2003 and 2007.

Tom Brady named AP Offensive Player of the Year

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady was named AP's Offensive Player of the Year and there isn't much of an argument against it. Brady finished the season with 3,900 passing yards, completing 65.9% of this passes, throwing for 36 touchdowns with only four interceptions, and a 111.0 QB Rating. His touchdown-to-interception ratio of 9.0 is an NFL record. At one point, he threw 355 passes without an INT, which is an amazing feat. Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick finished second in the voting. Brady is the odds-on favorite to be named this past season's NFL MVP.

The EndScore Report: AFC Divisional Series Predictions

Chris Sannella and Dennis Velasco break down and make their picks for the AFC Divisional Series, which include the Baltimore Ravens versus Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Jets versus New England Patriots. The Ravens and Steelers matchup will be a boxing match as both teams play hard-nosed defense, but which offense will raise the team to victory? The Jets seek revenge for a 45-3 shellacking at the hands of the Patriots in New England earlier in the season. Can the Jets keep Tom Brady off the field long enough to score enough points and win against all odds?

Tom Brady and New England Patriots agree to Contract Extension

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots finally agreed on a four-year extension that will pay Brady $72 million with $48.5 million guaranteed. Considering all that he’s done for the organization, namely leading the team to three Super Bowls, it was only a matter of time before Brady re-upped with the Pats. It would have been shocking if Brady didn’t get the opportunity with the team he’s been with his whole career since 2000. Is Randy Moss, playing in his final year of his contract, up next to sign an extension with the Patriots? It doesn’t seem likely.

The quarterfinals of the NFL tournament are set. Last week I went 2-2. Season record hits 46-36. There’s a reason why the upcoming playoff home teams got byes last week. They’re a cut above the competition. The favored New England Patriots and Cincinnati Bengals lost last weekend. Were they out-played or just not so good? Will any of the favorites this week be out-played or have a bad day?

True Predictions: Home Teams Will Rule Wild Card Weekend

Predictably, I go 3–2 in the final week of the regular season. The season mark runs to 47-36. Wild Card Weekend provides three repeat match-ups from last weekend, but I only see one coming up with the same result. The home teams will get fat on home-cooking and victories this weekend.

True Predictions: Bengals, Kurt Warner, and the Underachievement Bowl

Ouch, I go 1-4 this past weekend. Here are my excuses…I mean, reasons. A) I guess I can’t trust Bill Belichick as the New England Patriots lost to the Miami Dolphins, B) I should have known I couldn’t trust Wade Phillips and Tony Romo as the Dallas Cowboys lost to the New York Giants, C) I have to claim Thanksgiving turkey withdrawal for going with a Matt Ryan-less Atlanta Falcons over the Philadelphia Eagles (but was it visions of Xmas Past with Michael Vick?), D) Kurt Warner manned-up and the Arizona Cardinals are making the chase for the NFC crown a three-horse race. Only the Indianapolis Colts rang true and beat the Tennessee Titans. The season record runs to 36-26.
